How to make moss covered letters

I love these moss covered letters that I see everywhere, so it was time I make some of my
own and I thought I would share a tutorial of "How To" with you!
Adds just the right amount of green for Spring or anytime!!

12" Cardboard Letters  @ Jo-Ann Fabric Store   $4.99
(These are available in 3 sizes, I chose the medium)
(I also used coupon from www.Joann.com/coupon, 25% off available March 22-24)
Moss Sheets @ Hobby Lobby $7.99
( I used my 40% off coupon)
You will need one package per 12" letter
Ribbon 7/8" Grosgrain @ Hobby Lobby $3.99
Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
You may also want to use newpaper or paper bags on your work surface.
This is messy, you will have to vacuum or use broom when finished, and as always use caution when using  the HOT glue gun!

1. Mark around the letters on the backside of the moss sheets.
2. The backs are on a grid surface so easy to cut.
3. Spread glue over frontside of letter, be sure to glue all the way to the edges  and press firmly.  Cut pieces for insides of letters as well.  Leave the edges hanging over, you can trim later.  You can use the extra small peices or crumbs of the moss to fill in gaps and  the edges if needed.
4.  Flip over to the backside to trim a strait edge.

5.  I used hot glue to secure the two ribbons to be able to hang this letter.
Also, do not forget to sign your masterpiece!

I hope you enjoyed my "How To" Tutorial.  This was very easy to make, and using coupons at the mentioned craft stores, it was also inexpensive!  I am using one of these as a perfect hostess gift over the Easter holidays!  Send me your pictures if you try this at home.  I would love to see them!

Happy Crafting!
