Join my bookclub... Read along with me ...

Do you love to read?  Have you ever been a part of a book club?  I have been apart of a book club for about 7 years now.  We are mostly the same core group of girls that we started with, lost a few along the way, were joined by others and still going strong!  WOW, we have read a lot of books. Some of the books chosen over the years have been intriguing, some funny, some sad, others explosive or jaw dropping.  None the less, we have been faithfully reading and sharing our thoughts with each other for almost a decade!  I would like to invite you to join me in my book club!  That is right, we will have a virtual book club.  After you finish the book selection, you can visit back or link back to this page and leave your comments about what you thought of the book.  You can wear your jammies, fuzzy socks, kick up your feet and relax, and share what you think and read what others share. It is the easiest kind of bookclub.  Will you join me?

Here is our selection this month:

 MOLOKA'I
by Alan Brennert

Moloka'i is the story of Rachel Kalama, a young native Hawaiian girl growing up in Honolulu at the end of the 19th century, who at age seven is diagnosed with Hansen's disease, taken from her family, and exiled to the leprosy settlement on a remote peninsula on the island of Moloka'i. It is the story of her life there, the friends who become her family, the man she falls in love with and marries, the child she is forced to give up, and her eventual, miraculous release from exile.
