Painted Floors

I promised to keep you up to date with the progress of my daughters room.  Well, we have removed everything including carpet.  We are deciding on a color for the walls, a much more muted tone this time!  Unfortunately, we cannot afford to hardwood the room right now, so what are our options?  Well, carpet is out!  I have been slowly but surely removing all carpet from the house and replacing with hard surfaces for years, so no going back now!  I have decided to paint the floors! Yes, paint the subflooring!

Removing carpeting if a lot of work!  After you pull up the carpet and pad, you have to deal with the yucky tack strips and about a million staples all over the sub floor!  After a few hours, we have it all cleaned.  So now we would like a smooth surface, no splinters when walking across the room please!!  I think painting the sub floor is going to be just right for us, for now anyway.  Plus there are so many options you can do with paint!  So I started pinning inspiration for the room.  I thought I would share a few  of them with you.  Hopefully in the next few days I will decide and begin the process!

Enjoy!

I love this runner look!  The high gloss looks like it can stand a lot of traffic!
I absolutely love this one, the large patterns, the warmth it adds to the room!
The pink chevron is darling!  But looks like a lot of work!!
I like the dark floor with light stencil!  This may be an option!

This is a classic look I enjoy.
WOW! Is all I can say about  this one!!

So many options!! Which way should I go?  Well, today I am going to just paint the walls but,  be sure to check back;  I plan to start the floors later this week!

Thanks for stopping by!
