WEEKEND Christmas Crafting! Ornaments and Personalized Mugs.

Happy Monday Friends.

This past weekend my kids and I decided to

start on a few Christmas crafts and gifts.

We had found a few tutorials we really liked on Pinterest

and of course decided to try them  for ourselves.

We are happy with the results and cannot wait to give out

for holiday presents this year!

The Mercury glass look was a fun project:

This is what I needed:

Thankfully it was  nice day… So my suggestion is to do this outdoors.

The fumes from the looking glass spray were quite strong.

I first sprayed a light coat on the outside and then added a bit of Epsom salts
to the interior and then sprayed the paint inside as well and just swished around to
create the snow effect.  It really looks neat reflecting the Christmas tree lights.

This next one is so simple.

I used spray adhesive all over my ball and then rolled the ornament
in a plate full of Epsom salts.  I just left a little space to use my
Paint pen to write the year.

The personalized mugs were my daughters idea for her gifts to friends.

We needed to purchase :
Ceramic mugs

All we did was trace the outline of the letters, using simple
chipboard letters we had laying around and then colored
in using the oil based paint pen, then baked in the oven at 350 degrees
for about 30 minutes.
(be sure to use an OIL based paint marker)

Last but not least.  Little man decided to make a seek and find ornament.
He simply filled the ornament with salt and then added crystals,
Christmas trees, and other objects for a fun game ornament!

Well, this was just our little weekend of gift craft making!

We found all of these tutorials on Pinterest.

Thank you for reading!
